Course Description:

Nanomaterials are attracting much research interest in many fields, and computation and simulation are efficient methods to interpret experiments, predict properties and design devices in nanoscale. In this course we summarize the current progress in both experimental efforts and computational results in the field of nanomaterials such as fullerene, carbon nanotubes and graphene, show the preparation, characterization and application of various nanomaterials, and introduce the principles and basic application of computational method to explore the physics and chemistry of nanomaterials and to design new nanomaterials and nanodevices. Through various routes including oral presentation, discussion, experiments and review report, we aim to inspire the interest, and cultivate the ability of the students in the field of nanomaterials.

General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Structure Chemistry, and Chemistry English
