1992年至今,南开大学,高分子化学研究所,教授 博士生导师

现任天津理工大学校长,曾任天津市教育委员会副主任、天津工业大学副校长、吸附分离功能高分子材料国家重点实验室主任、南开大学化学学院副院长等职务。兼任教育部理科材料科学教学指导委员会副主任、中国化学会理事、天津市化学会常务理事以及一些国际、国内学术团体的会员和学术刊物的编委等。曾获得国家自然科学三等奖,教育部科技进步一等奖等。
